Laptop Upgrades

Over the last couple of weeks, I have been considering buying upgrades for my laptop. It  runs perfectly fine, but it has a hard time running programs like Word and Excel. Perhaps my laptop just needs a better processor or a mobile graphics card. Maybe next term when I am sent my financial aid, I will take some time to buy a graphics card and a larger harddrive for the laptop. It only has 75GB of HDD space. A harddrive I would find suitable would be at least 300GB.

Steam Program

These last couple of weeks, I have been using a program called Steam. It is an online video game store/game launcher. A teacher named Jacob referred me to Steam and told me about a discount for a great game called Left 4 Dead 2. The game was on sale for only ten dollars, and I could play the game online with him and my friends at home. A very fun game, which I feel was a great investment for me to sink into during my relaxation time. Although my computer can easily run the game, however, my computer sometimes crashes and takes longer to load the game than everyone else' computers. This makes me consider purchasing a couple upgrades for my computer in the near future.

I has mah Laptop!

Here I am, sitting at home with my dear wife, doing homework out in the living room on this wonderfully convenient laptop. I also just installed Microsoft Office 2010 so I could do my CIS 120 homework somewhere else other than at school. The lack of this program at home was causing difficulty for me to get all my homework done, but now that is not a problem.
    My wife also got herself a laptop for her college convenience as well. She's been enjoying it thoroughly, watching videos on YouTube and listening to music while she works on homework. I helped her pick out her laptop online, its a little better than mine, especially in HDD size. She also enjoys typing on laptop keyboards more than USB keyboards. And now, with our laptops, we can play our favorite game as often as we like. The game is called Grand Chase, an online multi-player game that our laptops can run considerably well. About as well as our desktops can.
